Community Charities

There’s a lot of great work happening on the front lines of Kern County, and there’s a lot more work left to do.

We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in four key areas: Education and Leadership, Healthy Eating, Human Trafficking, and Purposeful Living. Our commitment is to support organizations that address the most pressing needs, inspiring hope and fostering a brighter future for our community.

Our Focus Areas

  • Objective: This focus area is dedicated to supporting organizations that offer education and leadership development so that participants can build stronger communities. Organizations supported will focus on strengthening interpersonal connections and community engagement through initiatives that build and support positive, healthy relationships. Supported programs and projects include family enrichment, faith-based fellowship, youth engagement, and educational opportunities focused on effective communication.

  • Objective: Increase access to nutritious foods and promote healthy eating habits throughout our community. Grants will support initiatives that provide immediate access to fruits, vegetables, and other healthy food options or address the underlying causes of food insecurity. Projects should aim to educate the individuals they serve, ensuring a lasting impact on healthy eating behaviors.

  • Objective: Combat human trafficking through preventative measures, support services, and advocacy. The foundation seeks to fund organizations that are making tangible impacts in the fight against human trafficking, whether through direct intervention, supporting survivors, or public awareness campaigns. Priority will be given to initiatives that take a long-term and sustainable approach to combating trafficking, with clear metrics for success. Targeted outcomes include reducing the number of individuals entering trafficking, successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating survivors, and measurably impacting the reduction of trafficker operations. The focus will be on programs that not only address immediate needs but also create enduring solutions to prevent trafficking and support survivors over the long term. Collaboration with law enforcement, community organizations, and survivor networks will be considered a strength.

  • Objective: Empower individuals to discover and live out their God-given purposes, contributing to their personal fulfillment and the betterment of their communities. This focus area supports initiatives that guide people in identifying their passions and strengths, setting meaningful goals, and implementing plans to achieve them. Grants will be directed towards programs that offer leadership development, mentorship programs, and career and vocational training.
